Adam Wright
Adam Wright is a Doctoral student in Performance Studies working with Colin Milburn and Patrick LeMieux on mixed reality technologies, Media Studies, and STS at the University of California at Davis. After earning his BFA from New York University Tisch School for the Arts in Film and Television, Adam produced television content on technological and scientific innovation and video games for both the BBC at White City in London and Comcast’s G4 Network in Los Angeles. Engaging these topics fostered a deep fascination with digital media technology, resulting in a professional shift from entertainment to tech, where he performed front and back-end software development, user experience, and interface design. At UC Davis, he uses mixed reality and haptic technology to explore how networked sensory technologies influence human bodies in specific contexts and what this influence means for the future of augmented embodiment.
