Design Faculty Receive L&S Honors
Two members of the Department of Design were recently recognized for their teaching and research and honored with College of Letters and Science Awards.
Senior Continuing Lecturer Adele Zhang, Jo Ann C. Stabb Design Collection Curator and Manager, was honored with the L&S Teaching Award. Associate Professor of Design Jae Yong Suk, Faculty Co-Director, California Lighting Technology Center, received the Research Innovation Award.
“My teaching award is not just about an individual’s achievement,” said Zhang. “It is a true reflection of teamwork in the Department of Design where we support each other to thrive and contribute.”
Over the years, Letters and Science has honored faculty members for outstanding research, teaching and mentorship across disciplines. For a listing of these honors, visit the L&S website.
In the past year, Letters & Science Magazine has profiled these two faculty members and their distinguished contributions to the Department of Design. Zhang’s achievements were featured in the article “Adele Zhang Brings Design Collection to the International Stage,” and Suk’s accomplishments were spotlighted in “More than Lighting.”
