2017-2018 Basement Gallery Team Applications are Open!

If you are a student with an interest in gaining art gallery experience, apply to be a part of the 2017-2018 Basement Gallery directorial team. We are looking for students who have a passion for art and an ability to collaborate and work as a team. The following director positions are open for next year:
Gallery Preparator -
Leads the maintenance of the gallery, is responsible for
inventory of gallery materials and tools, and the arrangement of
the lighting.
Director of PR & Marketing -
Responsible for maintaining the gallery’s social media sites and
promoting the gallery throughout the UC Davis campus and Davis
community. Develop ways to keep in consistent contact with our
visitors and evaluate the efficacy of online campaigns.
Director of Design -
In charge of creating promotional materials for the gallery, such
as posters and graphics. Format wall text and labels for the
exhibition’s interpretive material, signage, and credit lines.
(Must submit digital portfolio alongside online application).
If you think your skills or interests are related to any of these
positions, we ask that you spend time volunteering in the
Basement for at least 2 hours before submitting your
application.
Express your interest to us via email and we will arrange a time
for you to come and learn about the gallery’s operations! There
are volunteer opportunities all throughout June and in the
beginning of Fall Quarter. Applications are due Sept. 22nd.
