Randall Hom is a co-founder of an early stage startup called Maitre D AI, an AI first communications platform for restaurants. He started this after taking a break from design to co-found a restaurant called Back to Back in San Francisco. At UCD he explored multiple disciplines of design—print, motion graphics, web, but ultimately found himself in product design working with startups around Silicon Valley, such as Instacart and Flexport. He enjoys how designing for software products encompasses so many facets of design: UX, UI, interaction, visual design, motion graphics & user research.
