Cassandra Dias, Sarah van Dusen, Shuyi Qi and Gale Straight have been selected as recipients of the Supported Residencies at the Royal Drawing School in London beginning in fall 2019. 

Thanks to the generosity of Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem, UC Davis is able to offer 4 Supported Residencies to the Royal Drawing School. 

The Royal Drawing School aims to raise the standard and profile of drawing through teaching and practice. Full tuition scholarships provide access to the program, which is split into three principal strands—drawing from life, drawing in museums and drawing in the city. London’s world-class museums form a wonderful resource. Students are responsible for travel and living expenses.

The selection process for the residencies was overseen by Gina Werfel, professor of art.
