Richard Whitten (MFA, 1987) was recently back in Davis to create a mural. The mural located in the alley behind Peet’s Coffee, 231 E St., is based on his 2016 painting “Looking Glass.” The project was created by the Davis Mural Team which includes artists Eleana Peters (B.A., art,’17), Bill Maul and Tait Takai. Whitten is chair of the Rhode Island College art department where he has taught since 1993.
