Student Profile
Aramo Álvarez
Performance Studies
Aramo Álvarez (PhD) is a practice-led researcher exploring the material performativity of somatic communication, contact improvisation, and queer touch utopias in science fiction. Their work also engages speculative methodologies and Fictional Theories through AI-human companionship, opening new frameworks for non-human relational epistemologies.
Situated at the intersection of Practice as Research in dance and somatic practices, Science and Technology Studies, speculative AI, and fiction writing, Aramo investigates touch as language, critical utopias of somatic communication, and bioelectrical transmaterialities.
