Appetite for Change
Art History 102 curated exhibition
Art History 102 students announce the opening of their exhibition “Appetite for Change.”
This exhibition aims to address the prevalence of food insecurity at UC Davis and raise awareness of the patchwork of resources that UCD has to offer including the Pantry, Fruit & Veggie Up!, and the Student Farm. “Appetite for Change” is an attempt to offer short-term solutions by offering access to nutritious food, resources to food, and ways to cook quick, healthy and affordable meals. The exhibition also serves as a platform to advocate for change by inviting the UD Davis community to come up with long-term sustainable and equitable solutions so that every UCD student can be food secure.
“Appetite for Change” is on view at the Memorial Union on Tuesday, Mar. 14 and Thursday, Mar. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A Linktr site is available to direct students to available food resources.
Students will hold a curatorial walk through on Thursday, Mar. 16 at 11:15 at the MU.
Art History 102, led by Professor Susette Min, is an exhibition practicum in which students are responsible for producing a public exhibition. Students develop exhibition proposals, curate, engage in object selection and installation, and general design and lighting of the exhibition location. Additionally, students are responsible for producing and publishing promotional materials.
“Deadline: 11:59pm,” another curated exhibition by AHI 102 students, is now on view at the MU and Katharine Esau Science Hall.
