This event will be a night of extravagance, elegance, and of course, art.

Undergraduate students will exhibit work that displays wild decoration, vibrant colors, and exaggerated expressions evocative of the Carnival of Venice.

Visitors and artists are invited to wear their wildest outfits with a mask to match. 

Basement Gallery Mission Statement

The Basement Gallery is a student-run organization located in the basement of UC Davis’ art department. We strive to provide support and strengthen confidence amongst our campus-wide community of artists. Our gallery promotes diverse forms of expression without censorship. We advocate for diversity, creative, and originality in our gallery in order to generate an environment that is welcoming to all. We ally with marginalized communities and stand against systems of oppression.
