Zach Clark in Great Hope

“Great Hope” is a show by National Monument Press at The Union Gallery at UMass-Amherst featuring alum Zach Clark (MFA 2016). It is about the people, places, and experiences that encourage and sustain us. “Great Hope” is an open call and portfolio exchange for print work by artists from around the US and it is an opportunity for the exchange of ideas and conversations around hope.

A publication will also be completed as part of the project, which will be available at the reception & book launch on February 21st. Upon the completion of the show, Zach will produce a website update with all particpating artists along with their work. Until then, follow “Great Hope” on instagram at @zachclarkis or #greathope .

Zach is also publishing and collaborating under the name National Monument Press. National Monument Press is focused on supporting the investigation and documentation of under-shared and under-represented uniquely American stories through small edition artist books, zines, and printed matter, conceived of and completed largely through collaboration with other artists. The first project under this name was completed last fall with Angela Willetts‘ ”Relationships,” (MFA 2016) with additional upcoming publications in the works with Annie Albagli and Erin Martinez coming out later this year.
