Professor Watenpaugh discusses what’s at stake for cultural heritage in interview
Professor Heghnar Watenpaugh joined Dr. Andy Jones on his KDVS radio show and podcast Dr Andy’s Poetry and Technology Hour. This Feb. 5 interview is now available online.
Professor Watenpaugh discussed the upcoming 2025 Templeton Colloquium in Art History, which will explore the need for protection of cultural heritage around the world. Professor Watenpaugh outlined the scope of cultural heritage within art history, while also describing some of the immediate threats to cultural heritage such as unwise development, climate change, and intentional destruction from war. The Templeton Colloquium–Cultural Heritage at Stake: Between Conservation and Criminality–will be held Friday, Feb. 21 4-6 pm at the Manetti Shrem Museum.
