Katharine Burnett represented UC Davis’ Global Tea Initiative for the Study of Tea Culture and Science (for which she is the Founding Director) with a booth at the International Tea Fair in Xiamen, China on October 22-24, 2016. The Xiamen Tea Fair is arguably the world’s largest annual tea fair (1 million square feet of displays). At the fair, Katharine met experts, scholars and collectors active in the tea industry and promoted the new UC Davis initiative on the study of tea.
