Graduate student in solo show at Johansson Projects
Nicole Irene Anderson’s (M.F.A. ‘25) constructed drawings and paintings of atomized, flattened landscapes and desolate suburban streets are featured in her solo show “A Tangled Coexistence.” Nicole’s paintings and drawings in oil, casein, graphite pencil, charcoal, and metalpoin explore themes of land, home, climate change, and the psychological impact of the expansion of the American West.
“A Tangled Coexistence” is on view from Nov. 1, 2024 – Jan. 4, 2025 at Johansson Projects in Oakland.
An artist reception is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 1 from 5-8 p.m.
