Alum Publishes Latest Zine “Raised Beds”

Zach Clark, M.F.A. 2018 art studio, has recently published his newest zine “Raised Beds,” about home gardening, collaborating with dirt, and being a person in the city.

Published by National Monument Press, the works incorporates photos, drawings, and predominantly scanned organic material. “Raised Beds” is a mix tape type meditation on the acts of experimenting and growing your own food.

Clark’s work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in San Francisco, Oakland, Denver and Chicago. He received his B.A. in studio arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2010.

National Monument Press is a publishing project by Oakland based artist Clark focused on supporting the investigation and documentation of under-shared and under-represented uniquely American stories through small edition artist books, zines, and printed matter, conceived of and completed largely through collaboration with other artists.
