Will Maxen’s (M.F.A. ‘23) debut solo show “Watch as We Float” opens at the Fridman Gallery in New York this March. “Watch as We Float” features a new series of 14 paintings examining ephemerality and durability of memory. Maxen’s landscape and figure painting creates abstract fields of rich color and translucent figures, recontextualizing and renegotiating the relationship between figure and ground. 

“Watch as We Float” will be on view from Mar. 12-April 19, 2025.
