Alum in conversation about Care on Canvas
Alum Justine Di Fiore (M.F.A., ‘23) recently talked with artist Dan S. Wang on the issue of caregiving and artmaking. In “Care on Canvas: A Conversation with Justine Di Fiore,” part of Landscapes magazine’s No Privacy, No Public conversation segment, Justine discusses how she brings the energy and muscle memory from caregiving into her practice in the hopes that compassion will rub off onto the surface of the painting. For Justine, this is the personal as political—caregiving as resistance.
“Care on Canvas: A Conversation with Justine Di Fiore” is available in the second issue of Landscapes, a digital platform made by A Blade of Grass.
