Professor López launches new book tour
The launch of Professor John López’s new book The Aquatic Metropolis: Urban Design and Environmental Change in Tenochtitlan-Mexico City (Pennsylvania University Press) starts on June 26 with a virtual book talk sponsored by The Association of Latin American Art.
Professor López will be joined in conversation with Barbara Mundy and Ricardo Padrón. Barbara Mundy is the Donald and Martha Robertson Chair in Latin American Art History at Tulane University. She is known for her work on the history of cartography and urban history in Mexico and New Spain. Ricardo Padrón, Professor of Spanish at the University of Virginia, studies the literature and culture of the early modern Hispanic world, particularly questions of empire, space, and cartography.
