Graduate student Srdan Tunic to give presentation at Bohart Museum
Second-year graduate student Srđan Tunić will share his findings from his internship at the Bohart Museum of Entomology in his talk “Plants, Insects and Art: Mary Foley Benson’s Scientific Illustrations.” His talk, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15, at 11 am in the Teaching and Learning Center (room TBC), focuses on Mary Foley Benson, an entomological and botanical illustrator who worked for the USDA and the Smithsonian, and who spent the last decades of her life working in Davis as a commercial artist for UC. On the West Coast, UC Davis has the biggest collection of her artworks, most of which hasn’t been published yet.
