Alum’s Internship supports exhibition and researchers “for generations to come”
Alum Ella Cross (B.A., emphasis in architecture and museum studies, ‘21) completed a three month research internship with the Society of California Pioneers Museum and Archive at the Presidio in San Francisco. During her internship, Ella photographed and documented material long hidden away in storage: the Presidio’s shoe, boots and slippers collection. Ella researched the various styles and their histories, cataloging the information to the archive’s collections database where it will support the work of future researchers and curators. Her work is currently featured in the current museum exhibition “For Generations to Come” which runs through November.
