Andrew Benson has been playing viola with the orchestra since Fall 2009, the beginning of his freshman year at UC Davis. Prior to that, he played violin and viola in his high school’s string ensemble. His lesser musical talents include the bass guitar and the ocarina on iPhone.

Currently, he is a junior double-majoring in Political Science-Public Service and Economics. He has worked as an intern for politicians in both Sacramento and Washington, D.C. His policy interests include health care, education, taxes/budget, and energy. Video games and physical exercise consume the remainder of his spare time.
