Vocal performance major Crisia Regalado has won the 2023 Lucy Becker Scholarship from Music in the Mountains (in Grass Valley, California). Crisia competed with Gioachino Rossini’s “Una voce poco fa” from The Barber of Seville. She studies with Zoila Muñoz at UC Davis, with whom she says she chose to go to UC Davis to study voice. 

The Lucy Becker Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of Lucy Becker who contributed her vocal talents to the greater Music in the Mountains community through solo and choral performances over many years. The scholarship is awarded annually and is designed to encourage dedicated vocal students to continue their studies with an award of $2,000, in addition the opportunity to perform on a Music in the Mountains concert.
