A trio of alumni from the UC Davis Department of Music have recently gained recognition for their performances and achievements. 

Angelo Moreno (BA, music, ‘98; MA, orchestral conducting, ‘02) led the acclaimed Davis High School Baroque Ensemble on a successful European concert tour. The tour included performances in the United Kingdom (London, Greenwich), Belgium (Bruges, Mechelen), and Paris. 

Soprano Tiara Abraham (BA, music, ‘22) sang the role of Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the 2023 Greve Opera Academy and Music Festival in Tuscany, Italy. The festival showcases young opera singers who seek the opportunity to perform leading roles in fully staged opera productions with a professional orchestra.

Arbel Bedak (BA, music ‘11) is the founder of Spectra Creative Agency, which represents represents a diverse roster of media composers and music supervisors. Spectra’s composers have scored films and series that can be found on Netflix, Hulu, Comedy Central, and Amazon Prime Video and are being featured at festivals around the world like the Toronto International Film Festival, Tribeca Festival, and HollyShorts.
