Exhibition
“Who Is U.S.?” Opens at Basement Gallery Jan. 20
January 2017
“Who Is U.S?” explores and honors the diverse identities of artists in America. This timely exhibition opens on Inauguration Day, Friday, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Basement Gallery on the lower level of the Art Building. The exhibition is free and open to all.
The exhibition deals with the notion of plurality. This country has many voices and faces and identities. There is going to be artwork that allows for a more ambiguous reading of who we are as a culture, and the work will play off of each other in a way that does not answer the question “Who is U.S.?” but fosters more questions and dialogue in this time of change.
Basement Gallery hours: Mon-Fri, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
