Darrin Martin in “LOUD silence” at the Grand Central Art Center

Darrin Martin is participating in the exhibition “LOUD silence,” an exhibition that offers the opportunity for viewers to consider definitions of sound, voice, and notions of silence through a deaf perspective. Darrin’s Radiolarian & Monograph in Stereo (both the print series and the video) will be on exhibit. The exhibition displays prints, drawings, sculptures, videos, audio works and several film installations, and features work by four artists who have different relationships to deafness, including Shary Boyle,Christine Sun Kim, Alison O’Daniel and Darrin Martin.
The exhibition runs from September 6 – December 6, 2014 at the Central Art Center, Santa Ana, A Unit of California State University, Fullerton. An artist talk will be held September 6, 2014 at 6 pm, followed by an opening reception from 7–10 pm.
