The UC Davis Dept. of Theatre and Dance will have a Projections Workshop with Joan Grossman, the videographer for our production of “Woyzeck”. It will be held on Monday 2/23 on the Main Stage from 6-9 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who has any interest in the growing field of projection in performance and will demonstrate the variety of programs associated with it.

Joan Grossman is a filmmaker and media artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work has won numerous awards, with screenings and broadcasts in more than 20 countries, and projects in China, Russia, Africa, and throughout Europe. Her video designs for theatre include the recent world premiere of the opera, The Three Feathers, composed by Lori Laitman, and the 2012 world premiere of Neil LaBute’s adaptation of Woyzeck, directed by Bob McGrath. She has been a visiting artist and professor of film and media arts at universities throughout the country.
