If you’ve ever felt that your government isn’t doing much for the common man and woman, “Government Inspector” might feel familiar. The circa 1840 comedy of errors by Nikolai Gogol satirizes greed, stupidity and the extensive political corruption of the time. The play by Gogol, who is claimed by both Russia and Ukraine, will be directed by Patricia Miller, a teacher and director at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre and artistic director of Pollinator, which explores classical theatre and new work with physical theatre, circus, opera ritual and performance.
