The Ann E. Pitzer Center is a new 17,500 square-foot classroom and recital hall. It will feature an acoustically superb 399-seat concert venue, providing a home for chamber and solo music performances and addressing the need for new classroom space.
The hall will be located next to the present Music Building on campus and will contribute to the new “arts district.” Small ensemble and solo performances will find this hall an acoustically rich home. The new center will serve as a vibrant hub of activity for students and faculty and will be a wonderful public venue for the community.
“Ann was a tremendous alumna and friend of UC Davis who always said her motivation for giving to UC Davis was to ensure our students would have the same great experience at UC Davis that she had…. This building, which will provide important classroom space to all UC Davis students, is a shining example of Ann’s lasting legacy, her commitment to her alma mater and to all Aggie students, and her love of music.” —Chancellor Linda P.B.
