Peer Advisor in Music
Mira Huang is a fourth-year double-major in music vocal performance and psychology with a minor in English. She has studied for over ten years under the tutelage of Crista Berryessa, Cheryl Anderson, Robin Fisher, and Jonathan Nadel. She has also sung with various choirs at Cabrillo College from 2007 to 2015, the UC Davis University Chorus from 2015 to 2018, the vocal trio Sopranosaurus from 2016 to 2018, the Davis Chamber Choir since 2015, and the UC Davis Chamber Singers since 2018. Currently, she works as Assistant Music Director for the Davis Chamber Choir and Elementary Chorus Teacher at Peregrine School outside of her peer advising hours.
Mira was honored to perform as Belinda in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas in 2016 and Euridice in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo in 2018. She was a semifinalist in the 2018 Mondavi Center Young Artists Competition, and a co-winner of the 2018 UC Davis Concerto Competition. Mira is a Phi Beta Kappa member and recipient of the Carol Lee Coss Memorial Scholarship Award, the only UC Davis scholarship dedicated toward students in the arts. When she’s not buried in work, academic or otherwise, Mira likes to sing excessively, play flute, and write young adult fiction.
