The Department of Theatre and Dance will present the spring 2022 edition of Outside the Lines on May 19-21 in the Main Theatre, Wright Hall. Performances begin at 7 p.m.

The program includes new works by doctoral student Diego Martinez-Campos, graduate students Ann Dragich and Edward Talton-Jackson, and undergraduate students. The choreography has been developed under the guidance of Professor David Grenke.

Adult tickets are $10, faculty/staff tickets are $8, and student/senior tickets are $5. Tickets may be purchased at the UC Davis Ticket Office, located on the north side of Aggie Stadium, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, by phone 530-752-2471 during the same hours, or online at theatredance.ucdavis.edu.

Diego Martinez-Campos is a performer from Mexico City whose practice/research focuses on the relations, tensions, wreckings between embodied practices, the performance of identities, and gendered / racialized / colonized modes of expression. Diego’s work conjugates various art-making disciplines including choreography, dance, music, drawing, writing, painting, and is oriented towards anti-colonial methodologies and pedagogies as means to generate different relations with existing fields of knowledge.

Ann Dragich has tap danced in NYC from 2008-2020. There she is a member of Cole Collective. She steps in company “Momentum” and was featured in Rick Owens Spring 2014 Women’s show at Paris Fashion Week. Ann has presented work in various shows around New York city including the Emerging Choreographer’s Series curated by Mare Nostrom Elements, Flamenco Certamen USA and Tony Waag’s “Somthing’s Afoot,” and venues such as Symphony Space, the Bruno Walter’s Auditorium at Lincoln Center Performing Arts Library and La Guardia Performing Arts Center.

Edward Talton-Jackson

Edward Talston-Jackson is a dual native of Hamburg, Germany and Las Vegas, Nevada. Having studied music and dance, Mr. Jackson graduated with a BFA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. After the University, he worked with various dance companies as a soloist and guest artist. The latest of those companies is the Paul Taylor Dance Company.
