Fall Quarter Production
The UC Davis Department of Theatre and Dance presents “CLICK,” an innovative contemporary drama which spotlights five students who struggle with their identity in the digital age.
Written by Jacqueline Goldfinger, Granada Artist-in-Residence, the presentation will be performed online Dec. 3, 5, 10 and 11.
Margaret Laurena Kemp, associate professor of theatre and dance, and Roger Ellis, assistant professor of musical theatre at Northwestern University, are the co-directors and Adriano Cabral, assistant professor of voice and movement at the University of Nevada, Reno, is the production’s voice and intimacy coach. Owen Marshall, postdoctoral scholar and lecturer, science and technology studies, UC Davis, is the soundscape designer, and Gabriel Strong, graduate student at Northwestern University, is the lighting designer.
“CLICK” is a co-production with Northwestern University and their American Music Theatre Project.
“I love that we’ll be the only generation with click envy,
As swipes and soundless keypads swallow the voice of the next generation. They will be raised to Whisper whisk
And I guess that the next generation after that will be raised in silence.”
The Department of Theatre and Dance is part of the UC Davis College of Letters and Science.
