Alum Joseph Patel (B.A., economics, ’94) is one of the producers, including Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, of the acclaimed film Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) for which he received an Oscar, Grammy, BAFTA, and other awards. On Nov 3, Patel returns to UC Davis for a conversation with Chancellor Gary May as part of the Chancellor’s Colloquium Distinguished Speaker Series.

The event will be held at the Vanderhoef Studio Theatre in the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. The event begins at 4:30 p.m.
