Professors Suh and Peterson present Life in a Field: Poems
EVENT CANCELLED

Life in a Field: Poems, a new book written by UC Davis Director of Creative Writing Katie Peterson, and illustrated with images by Professor Young Suh, is the subject of a multimedia event book launch on Tuesday, April 13. The book launch includes a reading and screening of an original film by Suh and Peterson. A lyric fable written in prose paragraphs, this comedy about climate change takes place in an imaginary California —a mythic place that strangely resembles the one in which we live, with vistas and orchards threatened by drought and fires. It’s a place of enchantment, a fairy-tale landscape where humans and animals live as equals. “Life in a Field” stars a girl and a donkey.

Life in a Field: Poems is pubished by Omnidawn (May 2021).

WHEN: This event has been cancelled
