The Department of Design at the University of California, Davis, invites applications for multiple instructor positions during SUMMER SESSIONS 2021. Instruction will be remote and courses will run subject to enrollments.

Duties and Responsibilities: Teach one or more undergraduate 4 unit studio courses in the Design major. Teaching may also involve field trips, exhibitions, special projects and guest speakers. Percentage of appointment depends on the type and number of courses assigned. The following courses are open for instructors:

DES 116 – Viscom: Graphic Design TR 12:10-1:00 PM & TR 1:40-5:00 PM
DES 161 – Textile Surface Des: Screen & Digital MWF 2:10-5:30 PM

Qualifications: Appropriate professional degree; e.g., MFA, MA, etc., or equivalent training and professional experience. Demonstrated teaching ability and experience for Lecturer positions. For Associate In positions, graduate students should have advanced to candidacy.
