TCS 007A: Digital Imaging – Special Session

This workshop will introduce Photoshop, scanning, image manipulation, Photoshop filters, Photoshop levels, digital prints, image optimization, website preparation, digital photography, and color pallettes.

Course Description

TCS 007B: Digital Video – Special Session

This workshop will introduce nonlinear digital video editing including concepts such as resolution, aspect ratio, codecs, frame rate, transcoding, and detailed instruction in basic editing in final cut pro.

Course Description

CDM 001—Introduction to Film Studies (4)

Lecture—2 hour(s); Discussion—1 hour(s); Film Viewing—3 hour(s). Analysis of film form and narrative, including cinematography, editing, and sound. Issues in film studies including authorship, stardom, race, gender, class, and cultural identity. Introduction to selected cinematic movements and national film traditions. GE credit: AH, VL, WC, WE. Effective: 2021 Winter Quarter.
