Alum Appears in Big Idea Theatre Production
Alum Jasmine Washingtion will be appearing in Big Idea Theatre’s upcoming production of “Thinner Than Water.” The show runs August 9 through September 7.
The play by Melissa Roos centers on three estranged half-siblings who reunite when their father falls ill. As the world around them crumbles, they argue with each other and with everyone around them in a desperate struggle to do the right thing and mend their rapidly deteriorating lives. “Thinner Than Water” is a blood-raw, wicked comedy-drama about fighting through the thick and thin of family.
Washington is a recent alum of UC Davis, graduating with a degree in Theatre and Dance and a minor in African American and African Studies. She is currently living, working and acting in Sacramento. She has most recently appeared in both staged readings and full productions including “The Winter’s Tale” (Wildflower Women’s Ensemble), “All My Possessions for a Moment in Time” (UC Davis), “The (M)others” (CSU Northridge) and “Othello” (Big Idea).
