Everyone is invited to an Undergraduate Open Studio hosted
by 6 arts students. This is a chance to see new work and
meet a few of our majors. It will also be a chance
to inform ask students about the private studios offered to
undergrad students every quarter.

In 1965, art Professor William Wiley purchased an odd object in a
thrift store and brought it to campus. The Slant Step is a green
linoleum-covered plywood stool with a slanted – and seemingly
nonfunctional – step that has inspired artists for decades at UC
Davis and beyond.
Professor Hearne Pardee’s solo exhibition “Overview:
Painting|Drawing|Collage” is on display at the Magrit
Mondavi Vineyard Room from November 12, 2019-February 2, 2020. An
opening reception will be held November 17 from 5:30 to 7 pm.

Young Suh received his BFA in Photography from the Pratt
Institute, Brooklyn in 1998, and went on to receive his MFA in
Studio Art from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston,
where he taught large format photography and digital printing.
His photographic work often deals with the complicated nature of
human involvement in managing natural resources and the shifting
concepts of nature in contemporary society.
