Annabeth Rosen in the 2018 Invitational Exhibition of Visual Arts
Congratulations to Annabeth Rosen for her inclusion in the American Academy of Arts and Letters‘ “2018 Invitational Exhibition of Visual Arts”!
Paintings, sculptures, video, film and works on paper by 35 contemporary artists will be exhibited in the galleries of the American Academy of Arts and Letters on historic Audubon Terrace (Broadway between 155 and 156 Streets) from Thursday, March 8 through Sunday, April 8, 2018. Exhibiting artists were chosen from over 100 nominees submitted by the members of the Academy, America’s most prestigious honorary society of architects, artists, writers, and composers. The recipients of the Academy’s 2018 Art and Purchase Awards will be selected from this exhibition.
Annabeth shares the spotlight with notable artists such as Marina Adams, Alison Saar, Kazimira Rachfal, Nikki Maloof, Eric Holzman, Christina Tenaglia among others.
The Academy, founded in 1898, established it’s arts award and purchase program to recognize artists at various stages of their careers. This year, ten participating artists will receive awards and paintings, works on paper and sculpture are eligible for purchase and placement in museum collections nationwide through the Academy’s endowment. Since the purchase program’s founding in 1946, more than twelve hundred works have been purchased and donated to museums throughout the country.
