Stage Management Training Workshop Series

INSTRUCTOR: Joelle Robertson, (Actors Equity Association), is currently with Capital Stage 2017-18 season. Stage managing credits include: The 39 Steps, The Motherf**cker with the Hat, 33 Variations and As You Like It.
In this free workshop series, students will work with Robertson in production and in four workshop meetings, the course will offer small group discussion and review of the entire production process, from prep week to closing night, and everything in between. (course meeting day and time will be determined by participants)
Week #1: Prep Week and Basics, Going over everything you need to prepare yourself and your team before heading into production.
Week #2: Rehearsal, Expectations for the first table read and table work, proper blocking note taking, being on book, line notes, and how to compose a rehearsal report and a daily call.
Week #3: Tech Week, We will prepare for tech week by going over all aspects of tech- paper tech, dry tech, and wet tech.
Week #4: Dress Rehearsal, Previews, and Performances, In the final class we will discuss expectations for dress rehearsal, previews, and performances, and how to properly prepare yourself and team for successful runs.
