Image of Music Library

The Music Library is located in Room 112C, Music Building, and houses a listening facility as well as an extensive recording collection consisting of over 10,000 compact discs and music-related videos in a variety of formats. Search our music library catalog.

There is a collection of standard reference materials, including music dictionaries and encyclopedias, thematic catalogs, foreign language dictionaries, and study scores. Loan periods and restrictions are found in the circulation policy and vary by patron status.

The Music Library also holds class reserve materials, both printed and recorded, for department classes. Library staff assist students in locating and using reserve materials. Inquire at the circulation desk.

The main campus library, Peter J. Shields Library, has complete reference materials, a definitive collection of scores and books about music, and photocopying facilities. They have partnered with the music department to offer streaming audio from the Naxos Music Library and the Garland Encyclopedia of World Music.
