Living From Within
Emily Harris
Alum Emily Harris will speak about the use of nontraditional educational techniques of adventure and play to develop women’s creativity and to empower them to become committed leaders in her talk “Living From Within”.
Emily’s talk is taking place in James Housefields’ Design 1 class but it is open to the public. Emily’s talk is also part of the Campus Community Book Project Events Series. “Living From Within” is part of a year-long series of events that address the issue of community building. This year’s book — The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World by the Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu and Douglas Abrams — is the starting point from which the community can explore the issues of community building, self-awareness and using compassion as a response to anger and suffering.
