Matthew Skinner, class of 2017, portrays one of our nation’s founding fathers in the Tony Award-winning musical “1776.” Presented by Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre at the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center, the musical opens Jan. 13 and runs through Jan. 28. 

In “1776,” Skinner plays Thomas Jefferson who helps create the Declaration of Independence along with the aid of John Adams and Benjamin Franklin. 

Skinner was last seen at UC Davis in spring 2017 as the hero in the hilarious production of “The 39 Steps.”
