Marta is an artist, teacher and Executive Director Emeritus of ARTS Obispo, San Luis Obispo County Arts Council. She holds an MFA in Studio Art from the University of California, Davis. In addition to galleries throughout SLO County, her work has been shown at the Eye Gallery in San Francisco, the Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum, the Pittsburgh Filmmakers Gallery and her work toured Texas as part of a traveling group exhibition titled Rethinking the Natural. Her photography and assemblage work have included The Guiding Light, photographs and text of her sister who has Down syndrome, Scarred Texts/Sacred Images, b&w photographs of scars, and photographs of US Truck Stops.
