Bruce Chrisp is the principal trombonist with the Marin, Santa Rosa, Fresno, Napa Valley, Santa Cruz County, Vallejo, and Carmel Bach Festival orchestras.
He has also performed with many other orchestras, including the San Francisco Symphony, the San Francisco Opera, the San Francisco Ballet, the Oregon Symphony, and the Virginia Symphony. He received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Michigan and his Master of Music Performance degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. His major teachers have been Mark Lawrence, H. Dennis Smith, and Edward Zadrosny.
Chrisp has performed in many festivals, including the Salzburg Summer Festival, the National Orchestral Institute, the Music Academy of the West, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute, and the Ernest Bloch Festival. He is also on faculty with the preparatory division at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
