Mozart’s ‘Gran Partita’
Recital Hall, Ann E. Pitzer Center

Faculty and area professionals join together under the direction of lecturer Matilda Hofman for this special wind serenade. Although the term serenade sometimes indicates easy-to-listen to music, Mozart’s ”Gran Partita” is a more serious work that demands careful attention. It is written for pairs each of oboes, clarinets, basset horns, bassoons, four horns, and a even a double bass, which altogether offers a variety of sonorities and musical textures.

Free, no tickets necessary (a Shinkoskey Noon Concert)
