Margaret Laurena Kemp Receives Bundanon Trust Residency
Margaret Laurena Kemp, associate professor of Theatre and Dance, is currently in Australia as a recipient of a Bundanon Trust Artist-in-Residence program.
Kemp is currently exploring the sounds and choreography of trees, dirt, water, human utterances and embodied movement to summon echoes of ancestors and descendants to explore the relationship between civil rights and first peoples water craft as indigenous arts.
The Bundanon Trust program is a highly selective residency that is open to professional artists and thinkers from all disciplines, individually or in groups. The Trust supports new work, research and collaborations by Australian and international artists. Recipients are hosted in purpose-built studios on our Shoalhaven River properties on the south coast of New South Wales.
