Margaret Laurena Kemp, associate professor of theatre, will
participate in
“5-Hour Sculpture,” a Pop-Up Art Festival at the Montalvo
Arts Center on Friday, July 22 from 5 to 10 p.m. Featuring the
work of eleven creative artists, this innovative art event
showcases the concept of temporary “sculpture.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to witness Kemp in her
new endurance performance work exploring the politics of silence;
layers of place and identity; and African American myths of
flight.
