“Let’s Draw Davis,” August Sketchcrawl
Wed. Aug. 16, 5pm
One of the more well-known venues in Davis is the Davis Farmers Market in Central Park. Rich in color and atmosphere, the location offers endless inspiration for a sketch.
On Wednesday, August 16, “Let’s Draw Davis,” the unique sketchcrawl series that explores the city, goes to the Farmers Market.
Participants meet on the north-facing steps of the Bicycle Hall of Fame on 3rd and B Streets in Davis (those are the steps facing the green in front of the band). There will be the Farmers’ Market and picnickers to draw. We’ll reconvene at 7:30 in the same spot to share sketches and get a group photo.
Parking is a challenge on Farmers’ Market evenings; so we recommend carpooling, biking or public transportation.
Bring something to sketch with and sketch on. Dress for the weather and bring something to drink.
As always this sketchcrawl is FREE and open to anyone of any ability who likes to go sketching, meet other sketchers, and explore Davis a bit. All you need is something to draw with and something to draw on! (And maybe a cold drink, though if it gets too hot, there are plenty of places to pop into nearby!)
START: 5:00 pm, Bicycle Hall of Fame, Central Park
FINISH: 7:30 pm, Bicycle Hall of Fame, Central Park
Let’s Draw Davis” is now a monthly sketchcrawl series with its own Facebook page announcing the dates of the upcoming sketchcrawls.
