Jacám Manricks, director

The performance features a variety of combos performing music from the diverse jazz cannon. The Jazz Nonet performs the classic “Besame Mucho” by Consuelo Velázquez in an arrangement by John Berry and “Second In Line” by Jacam Manricks, director of jazz at UC Davis.

The Snarky Puppy Ensemble performs ”Lingus” by Snarky Puppy and “Suddenly” by Martine Tabilio as arranged by Manricks. The Jazz Septet plays two works “The Band” by Martine Tabilio, arranged by Manricks and “Jazz Rastafarian” by Manricks. The Jazz Octet performs “Scalar” by Manricks and “Eighty-One” by Ron Carter, arranged by Manricks.
