DRA 198: The Principles and Practices of a Broadway Musical
Fall 2017

​This course is a lab/lecture series on the principles and practices of a Broadway Musical. The American ​M​usical is a rich and exciting art form​, and a true jewel of the American arts crown​. This course will study the history of the art form as basis​,​ diving deep into the roots of musicals, and how they became what we love today. We will also explore components and techniques of ​creating ​musicals in a lab/classroom situation, and use these techniques to mount a scene/song collaborative effort.
