Please join us at the opening of an exhibition curated by Susette Min, Associate Professor of Asian American Studies and Affiliated Faculty with Art History, at the Manetti Shrem Museum Thursday, February 1st.  

The exhibition Welcome?/?emocleW explores the multiple contradictory meanings of hospitality in relation to thresholds, borders, and horizons. Artworks by Andrea Bowers, Claire Fontaine, Simon Leung, Daniel Joseph Martinez, Dan Perjovschi, Kameelah Janan Rasheed, Larissa Sansour, and Jin-me Yoon invite reflection and meditation on the antinomies and ambivalence of giving and receiving hospitality, resisting and/or being denied hospitality, and its repercussions on the self, the other, and the nation.
